What the job involves

A loose board or a lifted laminate edge starts small. Then someone trips on it. Most floor problems are cheap to fix if you catch them early.

The damaged area gets checked, the cause gets fixed, and the floor goes back down solid.

What's included

If a repair is not worth doing, you get told before any money changes hands.

Common questions

Can a squeaky floor be fixed?

Usually yes. Squeaks come from boards moving against a joist or against each other, and securing them properly stops it.

Can you replace just one damaged laminate board?

Yes, if you have spare boards from the original floor. Without spares an exact match is hard, so keep any left over from the fitting.

My floor feels soft in one spot. Is that serious?

It can be. A soft or bouncy patch usually means damage underneath rather than on the surface, so it is worth looking at early.

Do you lay whole new floors?

Small areas, yes. A full house floor is a flooring fitter's job and we will tell you if that is what you need.

Do I need to clear the room first?

Please move small items and anything breakable. We will shift the heavier furniture as needed to reach the damaged area, and put it back afterwards.
