What the job involves

Shelves that sag or pull away from the wall are nearly always fixed into plasterboard with the wrong fixings. Cabinet doors that hang crooked or will not stay shut are nearly always worn hinges.

Shelving gets fixed into studs or solid wall so it holds real weight. Damaged kitchen and bedroom cabinets get replaced, and worn hinges get swapped so doors sit straight and close properly.

Common questions

My shelf came away from the wall. Why?

Almost always the wrong fixings in plasterboard. The wall type decides the fixing, and getting that right is the difference between a shelf that holds books and one that does not.

Do I need a whole new kitchen if a few doors are damaged?

No. Individual doors and units can be replaced, and worn hinges swapped, for a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen.

Can you fit shelves in an alcove?

Yes. Alcoves are rarely square, so each shelf is measured and cut to fit rather than bought to a standard size.

Do you supply the shelving?

You can buy it, or we can. If we supply it, the materials are charged on top of the labour.
